Our commitment

Our community engagement ethos is integral to our renewable energy projects’ success. We prioritise transparent, respectful, and meaningful relationships with stakeholders and communities throughout project development. Our approach encourages open dialogue, trust, and understanding by providing timely and accessible project information. By engaging early and thoughtfully, we gain insight into community priorities and incorporate feedback into project planning, aligning closely with local needs and values.

We emphasise accountability, responsiveness, and genuine commitment to community welfare, earning residents’ support and goodwill. Our commitment to the North Burnett region includes respecting community perspectives, facilitating collaboration, developing long-term relationships, and supporting local economies. Guided by industry best practices, we ensure diverse stakeholder engagement, accessibility, and ongoing improvement.

What we have heard

At Greenleaf, our engagement centres on building meaningful connections and collaboration with key stakeholders in the North Burnett region.

We have actively reached out and engaged with host landholders, neighbouring landholders, surrounding communities, the North Burnett Regional Council, the Wakka Wakka Native Title Indigenous Corporation, and other key stakeholders to ensure their voices are heard and valued throughout the project.

Feedback from these stakeholders has been integral to shaping our approach, and we remain committed to incorporating their input as we progress.

In response to identified community needs, we have established the Small Grants and Sponsorship Fund, which aims to support local initiatives that align with our values of community togetherness, growth, and economic independence.

Through this consultation, we also heard that local employment is important to the surrounding communities, so we are actively exploring the establishment of a Workforce Fund to train locals in the skills required for the wind farm’s operations.

As we continue to move forward, we invite further engagement and feedback from all stakeholders to ensure that our project reflects the needs and aspirations of the community.

Please share your thoughts with us by participating in our survey. Together, we can create a sustainable future for Stony Creek and its surrounding areas.
